Batteries and electrochemical energy conversion – a fast-growing research field where EQCM-D brings insight into critical processes
The global challenge of securing sustainable, long-term energy solutions calls for faster innovation in batteries, electrolyzers, fuel cells, and advanced materials. This, in turn, creates a growing need for analytical tools that can reveal what truly happens at electrochemical interfaces.
Join us to listen to Professor Björn Wickman sharing his visions for the fast-growing application field of energy storage and conversion. Björn has close to 20 years experience from research is in the field of electrochemistry, with focus on surface physics for environmental and sustainable energy applications. The work includes studies of electrodes and catalyst materials for low-temperature fuel cells and electrolysers, batteries, and water purification projects. In this inspirational scientific presentation, Professor Björn Wickman will provide an overview of EQCM-D and share examples of how the technique can deepen our understanding of critical interfacial processes.
