QCM-D studies of engineered nanoparticles
Engineered nanoparticles are increasingly used in various applications and characterization of the nanoparticle interaction with the surrounding environment is becoming more and more important.
QCM-D offers a unique way of studying nanoparticle interactions both in liquid and gas phase. In this overview we present three examples of nanoparticle characterization with QCM-D.

In this overview:
- Real-time monitoring of nanoparticle aggregation and deposition kinetics
- Monitoring of the build-up of surface confined nanocomposite structures
- Characterization of solvent associated with the nanoparticle layer
