QCM-D Technology: From Fundamental Membrane Biophysics to Translational Applications
In this webinar, you will learn about QSense QCM-D technology and how it can be applied to investigate biological interactions at lipid membrane interfaces. The session highlights how QCM-D supports both fundamental research and translational applications in areas such as drug development, antimicrobial testing, and membrane biophysics.
Dr. Joshua A. Jackman, Associate Professor at the School of Chemical Engineering and Translational Nanobioscience Research Center, Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea, will begin by introducing the core principles of QCM-D measurements through selected examples from landmark studies in membrane biophysics. He will then present application cases from his lab, including the testing of anticancer peptides, identification of environmentally friendly antiviral detergents, and optimization of antimicrobial lipid mixtures. These examples illustrate how QCM-D can provide meaningful insights for a wide range of biotechnology and biophysics challenges.
